A Special Purpose District Trustee election is underway. Vote today!

ATTENTION SPECIAL PURPOSE DISTRICT PARTICIPANTS: We’re conducting an election to fill a Special Purpose District position on the HRA VEBA Board of Trustees. This participant-elected position was recently vacated due to retirement. Special Purpose Districts include all employers that are not a county, city, or town. For example, water and sewer districts, fire and rescue districts, ports, public utility districts, etc.

If you are a participant from a Special Purpose District employer, CLICK HERE to learn about the candidates and submit your vote. The voting deadline is Monday, August 19, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time. Only Special Purpose District participants are eligible to vote in this election.

Have you experienced any changes to your employment status, address, phone number, email address, family status?

If you’ve changed employers, separated from service, or retired, give us a quick call at 1-888-659-8828 to make sure we have your separation date on file. This is particularly important if your health reimbursement arrangement (HRA) is claims eligible. We need your separation date to help protect your HRA from potential Medicare demands. Also, if your HRA provides only post-separation claims eligibility, reporting your separation date may help us update your account so you can start using your HRA.

If you’ve moved, have a new phone number or email address, or need to update your spouse and dependent information, log in and click My Profile to check and update your mailing address and other important information.

 

Post-separation (retiree-only) HRA? Coverage must be limited for rehires. 

If you have a post-separation (retiree-only) HRA and have separated or retired, your HRA coverage will be limited during any period of re-employment by the employer who set up your HRA. This means your HRA will cover only dental, vision, and qualified long-term care expenses while you are re-employed. Claims for all types of qualified medical expenses incurred while your HRA was fully claims eligible may still be reimbursed. Full coverage may resume after your re-employment ends.

 

The Total Return Bond fund replacement coming August 30, 2024. 

Metropolitan West Total Return Bond is scheduled to be replaced with Fidelity Total Bond K6 on or around August 30, 2024. Any portion of your account invested in Metropolitan West Total Return Bond will be sold and invested in Fidelity Total Bond K6. No action is required on your part. This change is being made automatically and at no cost to you.

The annual Medicare Part D Notice is available.

This is a required annual notice about prescription drug coverage provided by the HRA VEBA Plan and Medicare Part D. Please read it carefully, and keep it on file for future reference. To review online, log in and click Resources, or contact our Customer Care Center to request a paper copy.

 

A Summary of Benefits and Coverage is available.

We’re required to make a Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC) available annually. The purpose of the SBC is to help consumers compare group health plan (insurance) benefits. While your HRA is a group health plan, it is not insurance. You’ll notice that some of the information and defined terms in the SBC are not applicable to your HRA coverage.
